How do I convert inches to pixels?
Multiply the inches by the DPI (pixels per inch). At 96 DPI, 8 inches are 768 pixels. At 300 DPI, 8 inches are 2400 pixels. Enter the inches and the DPI above to get the pixels.
How many pixels is 1 inch?
96 pixels in CSS and on most screens, because CSS defines 1 inch as 96 pixels. In print, 1 inch has as many pixels as the DPI: 300 pixels at 300 DPI, and 72 pixels at 72 DPI.
How many pixels do I need for a print?
For a sharp print, multiply each side in inches by 300. A 4 × 6 inch photo needs 1200 × 1800 pixels, 8 × 10 inches need 2400 × 3000 pixels, and US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches) needs 2550 × 3300 pixels. The table above shows more sizes.
How many pixels is A4?
A4 is 210 × 297 mm, about 8.27 × 11.69 inches. That is 2480 × 3508 pixels at 300 DPI, 1240 × 1754 pixels at 150 DPI, and 794 × 1123 pixels at 96 DPI, the CSS size.
Which DPI should I use?
For CSS and web pages, use 96. For a print, use 300 for photos, flyers, and cards, and 150 for large posters seen from afar. When a print shop or an upload form asks for a DPI, use the value that it asks for.
How do I convert centimeters or millimeters to pixels?
Enter the value in the Centimeters or Millimeters field above. The converter divides centimeters by 2.54, or millimeters by 25.4, to get inches, and multiplies the inches by the DPI. At 300 DPI, 1 cm is about 118 pixels, and 1 mm is about 11.8 pixels.
How do I set an image to 300 DPI?
The DPI is a value in the image file. The free DPI converter sets it, for example to 300, and keeps every pixel. Check first that the image has enough pixels for the print size.
Is this converter free?
Yes, and you need no account. The converter runs in your browser, so nothing that you type leaves your device.
