AI credits
Learn how AI credits pay for AI images and the AI chat, how many credits each plan includes, and how to buy more.
AI credits pay for the AI images that you make in Bannerify and for the AI chat in the editor. Credits belong to the workspace, and everyone in the workspace spends the same credits. An image has a flat price in credits, and you see the price before you generate it. A chat reply costs credits for the text that the model reads and writes.
AI credits are separate from generations. A generation is one render of a template, and Quota and limits explains it. AI images and the AI chat use credits, not generations.
Generate an AI image
You can generate an image from the Media page or from the editor. This is useful when you need a background or an illustration for a template and do not have one.
- Open Media in the sidebar, or open the Media tab in the editor, and click Generate image.
- Write a prompt of up to 2,000 characters.
- Choose a Model and an Aspect ratio: 1:1, 4:5, 3:4, 2:3, 9:16, 16:9, 3:2, or 4:3.
- Optional: pick up to 3 images from your Media as Reference images to guide the result. The field shows when your Media has images.
- Click Generate. The button shows the price, for example Generate · 8 credits.
The image is saved in Media with an AI badge, and its prompt is its title. On the Media page, click Done. In the editor, click Add to canvas to put the image on your template as an image layer. You can also copy the URL of the image from its menu in Media and pass it to an image layer in an API request.
What an image costs
Each model has a flat price per image. The aspect ratio and the reference images do not change the price.
| Model | Credits per image | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Nano Banana | 8 | Drafts and simple scenes. It is fast and low cost |
| Nano Banana Pro | 30 | The best quality, and the best text inside images |
Bannerify takes the credits only after it saves the image in your Media. If the model returns no image, or you click Cancel before the image is ready, your balance does not change. Deleting an image later does not give its credits back.
What the AI chat costs
The AI tab of the editor spends credits on each reply, for the text that the model reads and writes. Edit templates with AI explains the chat.
| Model | Credits per reply |
|---|---|
| DeepSeek V4 Pro | About 1 to 3 |
| DeepSeek V4 Flash | Under 1 |
These numbers are for a usual reply. A long chat, or a canvas with many layers, costs more, because the model reads them again at each step. A reply that you stop still uses the credits of the text that the model read and wrote until then. The summary under each reply shows the credits that it used.
When the AI generates an image in the chat, it asks you first, and the image costs the same as in the Generate image window.
Monthly credits
Each plan includes credits every month.
| Plan | AI credits a month |
|---|---|
| Free | 50 |
| Pro | 1,000 |
| Business | 4,000 |
| Enterprise | 15,000 |
A workspace in its 14-day team trial gets 100 credits a month while the trial runs. A team workspace on the Free plan gets no monthly credits, and it can still use credits that you buy. Billing lists the plans.
Monthly credits restart on the first day of each month, at 00:00 UTC. Credits that you did not use do not carry over to the next month.
Buy more credits
A credit pack is a one-time payment, not a subscription. You can buy a pack on any plan.
| Pack | Price | Per 100 credits |
|---|---|---|
| 500 credits | $5 | $1.00 |
| 2,000 credits | $18 | $0.90 |
| 5,000 credits | $40 | $0.80 |
Purchased credits never expire, and everyone in the workspace shares them.
- Click Buy credits in the sidebar, or on the Billing & Usage page.
- Choose a pack and click Continue to checkout.
- Complete the hosted checkout.
Bannerify brings you back to Billing & Usage, and the credits appear after the payment is confirmed.
If an order is refunded, Bannerify takes back the matching share of its credits. When you already spent them, your purchased balance goes below zero, and the next pack that you buy covers the difference. Your monthly credits are not affected.
How credits are spent
Bannerify spends monthly credits first. When they run out, it spends purchased credits. One image can use both. For example, with 5 monthly credits left and a purchased pack, a Nano Banana image takes the 5 monthly credits and 3 purchased credits.
You can generate an image when the credits you have left, monthly and purchased together, cover its price. If they do not, the Generate image window shows Not enough credits with a Buy credits button, and you cannot click Generate.
The AI chat sends a message when your credits cover the text that the model reads first. The price of a reply is known only when the reply ends, so a reply can use more credits than you have left. Then your purchased balance goes below zero, and the next pack that you buy covers the difference. When no credits are left, the AI tab shows You’re out of AI credits. A message that could not start goes back to the message box.
Check your balance and history
- The sidebar shows AI credits with the number of credits you have left, monthly and purchased together. The meter shows how much of your monthly credits you used.
- The AI credits card on Billing & Usage shows your monthly credits and the date of the next reset, your purchased credits, and the last 30 days. Each image is a row with its prompt and the credits it used. The AI chat is one row for each day, with the number of requests to the model and the credits they used. One reply can take several requests, because the AI reads the canvas again after each step. Purchases and refunds are in the same list.
Dates and the monthly reset use UTC time.
