What is the A3 size in pixels?
A3 is 297 × 420 mm, about 11.69 × 16.54 inches. In pixels, it is 3508 × 4961 at 300 DPI, 1754 × 2480 at 150 DPI, 1123 × 1587 at 96 DPI, and 842 × 1191 at 72 DPI. A pixel has no fixed size, so the DPI sets the number of pixels.
What is A3 at 300 DPI?
3508 × 4961 pixels in portrait, and 4961 × 3508 pixels in landscape. Use this size for a poster, a menu, or a certificate that people see from near.
What DPI should an A3 poster have?
300 DPI when people read it from near, for example a menu or a poster on a desk. 150 DPI (1754 × 2480 pixels) is enough for a poster on a wall that people see from a few meters. When a print shop asks for a DPI, use that value.
What is the A3 size in pixels for the web and CSS?
1123 × 1587 pixels. CSS defines 1 inch as 96 pixels, so an A3 page in a browser, for example a print stylesheet, is 1123 × 1587 CSS pixels.
Why is A3 842 × 1191?
842 × 1191 is the A3 size in PDF points. A point is 1/72 inch, so it is the A3 size at 72 DPI. PDF files and many print tools give page sizes in points.
Is A3 two A4 pages?
Yes. Two A4 pages side by side make one A3 page in landscape. At 300 DPI, A4 is 2480 × 3508 pixels and A3 is 3508 × 4961 pixels: the short side of A3 is the long side of A4.
Is A3 the same as Tabloid (11 × 17)?
No, but they are close. Tabloid is 11 × 17 inches (279 × 432 mm), so it is narrower and taller than A3. At 300 DPI, Tabloid is 3300 × 5100 pixels and A3 is 3508 × 4961 pixels.
What is A3 landscape in pixels?
Landscape swaps the two sides. A3 landscape is 4961 × 3508 pixels at 300 DPI, and 1587 × 1123 pixels at 96 DPI.
How do I make an A3 image at 300 DPI?
Make the image 3508 × 4961 pixels. Then set its DPI value to 300 with the free DPI converter, so that apps print it at the A3 size. The DPI value does not change the pixels.
