What is an OG image?
It is the picture that shows when someone shares your link on Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Slack, or iMessage. You set it with the og:image meta tag from the Open Graph protocol.
What size should an OG image be?
1200 × 630 pixels, a 1.91:1 ratio. Facebook and LinkedIn ask for this size, and X crops it only a little at the top and bottom. Every template here is 1200 × 630.
How do I add the image to my page?
Upload the PNG to your site. Then put an og:image meta tag with the absolute image URL in the head of the page, with og:image:width and og:image:height. Add twitter:card with summary_large_image for the large card on X.
Do I need an account?
No. The OG image generator is free and open to everyone.
How do I make an OG image for every page?
Copy a template into Bannerify and sign one image URL per page with the page title. Bannerify renders each image the first time a network asks for it. The free plan includes 100 generations a month.
Doing this a thousand times?
Sign one URL per page, and Bannerify renders every OG image from your own template.
